“Can I show you intimacy with just light? Is it possible to hold concern for a device like it were a child? Can thoughtful programming lead to intimacy through interaction?”

Uppmärksamhetsrobot (“Attention Robot”) explores how the most basic of sensations, touch and sight, can be programmed by a designer to elicit feelings of intimacy, worry, and attention.

Identification with your mind creates an opaque screen of concepts, labels, images, words, judgments, and definitions that blocks all true relationship. It comes between you and yourself, between you and your fellow human, between you and nature, between you and the Universe. It is this screen of thought that creates the illusion of separateness, the illusion that there is you and a totally separate "other."
