Wallet 2FA - Making blockchain transactions safe for all HarpieAug - Sep 2024
I led the redesign of Harpie’s Wallet 2FA, collaborating across teams and leading our newly hired product designer. This product is groundbreaking in the Web3 space, providing a seamless layer of security that protects valuable assets during transactions. Through user research, we identified pain points in setup and integration, addressing them with a quicker onboarding, beautiful new UI, and enhanced mobile experience.

This update resulted in a 45% increase in adoption within three months, with users praising its clarity and ease of use. It reflects my ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, deliver impactful solutions, and build trust through thoughtful design.

Hiring & Leading a Product DesignerHarpieApr - Dec 2024
I spearheaded the hiring process to bring on our first product design intern, working with our co-founder to find someone who could grow with the team. My focus was on creating a supportive and playful environment where mutual accountability, great design, and open communication could thrive.

As a mentor, I guided them through key projects, offering feedback and fostering confidence in skills like user research and cross-functional collaboration. By the end of their time, they had evolved into a strong, independent designer who contributed meaningfully to our team, landing a subsequent internship at a major financial institution.

Advanced Security - Bleeding edge crypto security Harpie2022 - 2024
This multi-year project focused on building cutting-edge tools like Token Protection and Trusted Networks to empower users to secure their digital assets against an onslaught of scams, hacks, and other vulnerabilities in the industry. As the sole designer in the early stages, I partnered with engineers to design features that simplified complex blockchain technology.

A recent milestone was streamlining the onboarding flow, which introduced users to these tools step by step, reducing friction and increasing adoption. The project played a key role in securing a $4.5M seed round led by OpenSea, Dragonfly Ventures, and Coinbase, showcasing my ability to drive impactful, user-centered design for highly advanced technologies.

Redesigning an Onboarding and Post-OnboardingHarpieOct 2024
To address user drop-off after onboarding, I led an initiative to revamp onboarding and post-onboarding flows. This included exploring features like personalized onboarding, coachmark tours, welcome modals, animations, and gamification to guide new users toward essential conversions. Collaborating with Dana Yao (a Senior Product Designer at a multinational payment services company) and our newly hired junior product designer, we iterated on user flows and prototypes, balancing industry best practices with technical feasibility.

This effort resulted in a 67% increase in users activating their first product, with feedback highlighting the tour’s clarity and simplicity. This project demonstrated the power of collaboration, mentorship, and user-centered design to deliver measurable results.
